Earlier this week a Japanese commuter fell up to her waist in the gap between train and platform at the Minami-Urawa station.

The driver was ordered not to move and the station PA asked commuters on the platform to help move the train - and the swell of people standing at the platform did just that - working together to tilt the train on its suspension and widen gap so that the woman could be freed.
