Killing me softly… | The Many Violent Deaths of David Maybury

For those that don’t know already… Derek Landy’s Skullduggery Pleasant series has got all new paperback covers (see above) and each new edition includes a short story too (oooh!). If you were to pick up, say, a copy of Mortal Coil and skip right to back (best bit really) you would find a story called The Wonderful Adventures of Geoffrey Scrutinous.

In that story you will find one, hapless, though dashing, effervescent and charming, sorcerer Davit Maybury - who comes to a sticky end. Yes, that would be me, apparently. And Derek has killed me off! (So much for my spin-off series).

Seeing me killed off in print has delighted friends, family and fans so much so that some of those delighted friends, family and fans have decided to create ‘The Many Violent Deaths of David Maybury‘. Giving themselves the chance to give me their own sticky ending.

I kid you not. Ever wanted the chance to kill me? Here it is.

AMAZING! I shall read it tomorrow. You might’ve been killed off but you’ve also achieved immortality!
