Faber Academy | Writing for Children 2011
Reckon you want to write for kids?
Not sure where to start?
Happen to like London? (Perhaps, maybe, live there?)
You could to a whole lot worse than landing yourself a place in the The Faber Academy Writing for Children course - a four month practical workshop with Anthony McGowan with guest seminars by folks who write books, sell books, publish books including Meg Rosoff and Anne Fine.
The full course description is up at faber.co.uk - but for those interested, there is some pre-course homework to get done. Namely reading:
- The Witches by Roald Dahl
- I Was A Rat by Philip Pullman
- Skellig by David Almond
- How I Live Now by Meg Rosoff
- Doing It by Melvin Burgess
The course is based at the Faber offices in London - with 15 places available and the deadline ticking (no later than Friday 22 October 2010)
