Check out the trailer for Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters - based on Rick Riordan‘s series!
What does the end of day 100 on the Spiderman set look like?! Ask director Mark Webb, who tweeted this earlier:
Talking at an NBC interview Superman, Henry Cavill, has some thoughts on the Warner Brothers Justice League plan:
Justice League could be great if done correctly. It’s a very tough one to do because the DC comic heroes are all god-like in their power. So in this real world universe, real-world setting we’re telling our story in, it’s going to be tough to achieve that. It has to be done very delicately with a lot of thought. So, it won’t be right away. I hope it’s not, anyway. It may take some time of building up other movies and other characters and introducing them together in one way or another.
The TV wars are getting bigger… kind of.
Netflix have bought a new series based on H20: Just Add Water (the australian Mermaid show that broadcasts on Nick in the UK)
The announcement is a week after Netflix agreed a deal with Dreamworks for 300 hours of new animated shows - including a series based on TURBO, Dreamworks new feature. This comes alongside their deal with Disney for pre-school series Jake and the Never Land Pirates.
Forget Nerds inheriting the Earth. It belongs to Netflix. (Though wait to see how Amazon responds)
Last week Marvel and Disney gave a glimpse into what was coming AFTER The Avengers 2 in 2015 (namely two new movies, in May 2016 and 2017) Yesterday they let slip that there’s a third film planned for mystery movie to be released in 2016 (which will keep their two-movies-a-year momentum)
This year has seen Iron Man 3 already hit with Thor: The Dark World releasing in November. Next year the build up continues with the release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy and culminating in the release of Ant-Man and The Avengers 2 in 2015. (Of course, parallel to all of this is the release of Joss Whedon’s S.H.I.E.L.D TV series)
What the three mystery movies are is anyone’s guess - but there’s a new Thor and Captain America contracted… and a wealth of villains to choose from. And all of this is outside the two planned Spiderman movies, you know that movie with Paul Giamatti!
