The paper is to continue arts coverage none of it will be review led and the paper’s music writer, film reviewer, theatre critic, visual arts critic and music critic are all due to finish with the paper in the coming weeks.
It’s a blow to arts coverage in an already shrinking arena - shows and exhibitions reliance on reviews is huge.

Earlier this week a Japanese commuter fell up to her waist in the gap between train and platform at the Minami-Urawa station.
The driver was ordered not to move and the station PA asked commuters on the platform to help move the train - and the swell of people standing at the platform did just that - working together to tilt the train on its suspension and widen gap so that the woman could be freed.
