


Time to let The Chosen One go?
The Atlantic covers the trope that will save us all… I mean, er, the Chosen One.
Admittedly the reason is not sound on their list of failures - where the list piles Beautiful Creatures, Beastly, The Golden Compass, Eragon, The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising - it does not identify that there are always failures, or that most of these movies were profitable and just didn’t reach the massive global success of a small few.
That said… some of it is interesting. Picking on Mortal Instruments as the death knell of a genre? Hardly.

Ben Affleck is the new Batman… and one fan has taken the Lex Luthor casting rumour, Mr Bryan Cranston, and made a mock trailer.

Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon: Tom Stoppard and Aardman Studios
… kind of. The Aardman animated a trailer for Tom Stoppard’s radio drama based on the album that was broadcast yesterday on BBC Radio 2.

12 Monkeys: TV Adaptation is GO!
12 Monkeys - Terry Gilliam’s 12 Monkeys - is being adapted for TV.
The pilot, currently being developed, sees a time traveler from a post-apocalyptic future in the present on a mission to find and eradicate the source of a deadly plague that will eventually decimate the human race.
